Principal's Note

Notes from Mr. Steve Riley, 7-12 Principal

2022-2023 Start of the Year!!

Welcome back!!!  Each new school year is an exciting time for the students, parents, and staff of our community.  For our high school student-athletes and band members, the transition has already begun with band camp taking place and practices already occurring for cheerleaders, football, volleyball, golf, and cross country players.  Upcoming school events can be found on the school website under “District Events” and by clicking on “All Events”.  We are excited to invite the public back into our building for Open House.  This event is a great opportunity for the community to visit our beautiful school and to meet our outstanding staff.

Parents with children new to our district can register their children by clicking on the following link  https://hilltop-oh.finalforms.com/   The registration process is not complete until proof of residency and, if applicable, custody/guardianship documentation is provided.   Parents of returning students are also reminded to update their final form information through the same link.  Updated parent contact information, emergency contact lists, and student health information are vital for school personnel to meet the needs of our students when they are in our care.  Final Forms allows parents to update information throughout the year, updating our Student Information System (SIS) in the process.

Students entering the 7th grade or 12th grade need to have updated vaccination records provided to the high school office by the first Friday of September.  Students entering 7th grade are to receive a dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) and a dose of Meningococcal vaccine.  Students entering the 12th grade are to have a dose of Meningococcal vaccine.  Vaccines can be obtain through your health care provider, local pharmacy, or through the Williams County Health Department.  Appointment information with the Health Department can be obtained by calling 419-485-3141.

Again, we are excited for the beginning of the school year and cannot wait for your child to resume the great educational experience we have to offer.  If you have any questions regarding grades 7-12, please call the high school office at 419-924-2365.  We look forward to seeing you at Open House.  GO CADETS!!!

Sincerely,

Steven Riley, Principal
